Shear Mechanism Wear

From the choices you have made the problem you are experiencing
is most likely to be caused by problems with
the maintenance of the shear mechanism

The most likely causes are: Remedial Actions after overhaul are:
  • Excessive Air Spring Pressure
  • Inadequate Lubrication
  • Use of Mechanical Latchout only

  • Abrasive Dust on Mechanism
    (Batch / Glass)
  • Foreign Object Damage
  • Adjust Air Spring Pressure

  • Ensure suitable Lubrication
  • During normal operation
    Pneumatic Latchout
    Should be Used
  • Keep feeder clear of dusts


  • Remove brick and ensure that spout is kept clear of foreign objects
