The 1000 series electronic feeder was developed as an electronic feeder replacement for a wide range of mechanical feeders.

The 1000 series feeder uses precision servo systems, combined with the latest generation of ballscrews and specially designed arcual shears, to produce high quality gobs over a very wide production range. The feeder incorporates the successful cascade bowls as standard. Custom plunger ‘cams’ can be simply designed and implemented via a touch screen HMI.

The plunger and tube mechanisms have been designed so that they can be mounted on either side of the spout and the shear mechanism can be mounted at any shearing angle. This allows a much more flexible plant layout without compromising performance.

FEATURES

  • Speeds from 5 to 200+ cpm
  • Single gob up to 5kg (11lbs)
  • Double gob (3" and 43/8" cc)
  • Triple gob (3" cc)
  • Shear angles from 90L to 90R
  • Servo driven arcual shears
  • Servo and ballscrew driven plunger mechanism
  • Touch screen controls (Optional hand held controls)
  • Cascade bowl

BENEFITS

  • Down time reduced (Quicker job change on feeder)
  • Fewer moving parts (Fewer spares)
  • Easy to set-up (Repeatable)
  • Cams to match production requirements with special cam generation function
  • Easier to maintain with self diagnostics feature
  • Conversion of existing mechanical feeders using modular units
