The controllers that are installed as standard are the same controllers fitted to our Touchscreen system. This means that this panel also contains the ability to autotune control loops. Autotune facilities within controls had previously been avoided due to the fact that there appeared to be instability and inaccuracy within normal P.I.D. autotuning. Omron have taken a different approach to these issues and have developed an Autotuning facility within a dedicated temperature controller which autotunes Using the gains: Proportional Integral Derivative Also an Alpha gain The additional alpha gain allows the controller to be tuned more or less aggressively allowing for better responses within the glass-conditioning environment. This now allows staff who have not trained as control specialists to Produce efficient results. A paperless chart recorder is included in the panel to allow for historical analysis of the performance of the control system.
