Required Power Supply 7 KVA

The complete Electronic Slow Gob feeder Mechanism
has been developed to:
  • Upgrade and modernise the glass delivery Process for hand press, semi automatic and fully automatic press machine installations
  • Eliminate the need for robot ball gatherers collecting lower quality surface glass.

    Ball Gatherer

  • Ensure the gob delivery requirements for lead crystal ware and all other types of high quality Production are met.
  • Provide a precision feeder movement, which is fully adjustable.
  • All the mechanisms can be mounted on the left or on the right of the spout casing to simplify the integration with the forming Process.

Mechanical Features

  1. From 2 to 20 Cuts per Minute.
  2. Up to 5Kg Gobs.
  3. Archial Servo Shears.
  4. Servo and ballscrew driven air balanced plunger.
  5. Automatic gob weight control option for integration with press machine.
  6. Variable speed and reversible tube with bevel geardrive.
  7. Cascade Spout Bowl.
  8. Microtherm Spout Insulation.
  9. Electric Trace Heating available.
  10. Heated Orifice ring available.

Electronic Features

Customisable Jobs Library allowing the storage of not only
cam Profiles (either standard or customised) but also the complete
range of feeder and shear settings.
Once a jobs library has been built, the ability to "Select A Product"
will completely reset the mechanism to previous settings
reducing costly downtime during job changes.
A standard cam can be modified electronically to meet a
particular Production requirement and then stored
as part of the job record for future use.
A completely unique and original cam can be electronically "Built"
using on-board basic mathematical cam tools.
The Servo-Plunger Mechanism can be Programmed
with 2 different cam Profiles to create a variation of
gob weight/size at the same machine speed.

Running Adjustments

The Tube Height, Speed, and Direction can also be adjusted "on the run".

The Servo feeder mechanism can be synchronised with the
Production Process by:
  • A DC pulse for every feeder cycle.
  • "Gob on Demand" Operator push button for manual operation.
Archial Shears Timing can be adjusted between 0 and 360 degrees,
using "user friendly" Click and Drag format to synchronise gob delivery

Servo Plunger Differential can be adjusted between 0 and 360 degrees,
in relation to the Shears "Master" signal also using Click and Drag format

The Electronic Slow Gob feeder mechanism can also
control cullet chutes and Gob Delivery equipment
heated and cooled "Spankers" are available on request.
