Feeder Bowl Insulation Kits
 |
The Key to Spout End Temperature Uniformity |
Features
- Minimises temperature gradients in the feeder bowl, ensuring optimum gob homogeneity.
- Reduces overall feeder heating allowing faster process changes.
- Improves plant safety by lowering external feeder surface temperature.
- Available for most makes of feeder mechanism.
- Packs include pre-shaped panels, adhesive, knife, applicator and full installation instructions.
Homogeneity is, of course, essential to the cost-effective production of high
quality glass. Unless adequately insulated the feeder bowl is an area particularly
prone to temperature gradient problems.
This ready-to-use Microtherm insulation kit has been developed jointly by BH-F
and Micropore International Ltd. Microtherm’s insulating performance is typically
3-4 times that of traditional insulating materials and 10 times that of refractory bricks.
