Benefits:
- Inherent problems associated with mechanical shear cams are eliminated. Cam profile changes are stepless via a potentiometer mounted on the control panel, enabling cutting profiles to be changed simply, even whilst the shears are operating, ensuring the optimum cutting profile is selected.
- Critical moving mechanical parts are immersed in oil, for smoother operation and increased reliability.
- Applications vary from high quality Lead Crystal tableware with gob weights up to 5Kg through to high speed double gob container production in excess of 200 cuts/minute.
- Conventional shear mechanism set up procedures such as shear height, blade overlap and blade tension are retained.
- Using the latest servo motor technology eliminates many of the problems previously associated with servo motors. Improved accuracy and repeatability prevent position errors and substantially increase mean time between failures.
- Compact control panel with integrated operator interface reduces installation time and allows the unit to be positioned in almost any location. The use of electronic switching devices in critical circuits eliminates failures associated with electro-mechanical devices.
