Triplex Thermocouple 400 Title

Forehearth Thermocouples

Benefits:

  • Long-lasting operation
  • All temperatures are repeatable + 1o
  • Lower unit cost
  • Reduces cold junction errors
  • Ease of installation, maintenance and replacement

BH-F (Engineering) Ltd offers glass manufacturers two thermocouple product options:
simplex and triplex.
Each product is designed to perform in the harsh environment of a glassmaking forehearth,
a design apProach which provides a long-lasting operating life.
The simplex thermocouple is ideal for measuring glass temperature in the forehearth
at the entry point or as a specific control zone sensor.
The triplex thermocouple gives glass manufacturers accurate three-level readings
in both the equalising and entry zones facilitating
rapid temperature homogeneity measurement and control.
Many glass manufacturers join three triplex thermocouples together,
forming a nine-point temperature grid to register forehearth glass homogeneity.
This practice heightens the demand for thermocouples that combine
high performance with modest cost.

Features

  • Rugged design gives strong resistance to thermal shock.
  • All thermocouples on the same order are made from the same wire melt.
  • Calibration certificate.
  • Use of precious metal content is minimised.
  • Design reduces radiant heat exposure to the termination head.
  • Armoured flexible extension cable with plug and junction box is provided with each unit.
